Perfect hue of amber. I use it for up lighting and we used this for a wedding.

I used this on a flash to take a picture of relatives, and it was way too much color. Not sure when this is used, but much better is a filter color (geletin) called CTO. It comes in quarter, half, and full CTO (the O stands for orange). Much better to use that than this.

This is an essential tool if your are using flash or lighting indoors. Read all the advice of the pros, and you'll see this mentioned over and over. It's cheap. Be prepared. Try it with your flash for skin tones.

This simple sheet of gel is one of my most-used tools. It adds a certain warmth to photos, especially skin tones, without being overbearing. I use it not only for studio strobes, but also on my Nikon and Canon flashes. With just a small bit of Scotch tape and a cutting to fit, it is even used on my Canon A650.

You can enhance your photography and cinematography with the Roscolux Bastard Amber, a 20x24" Color Effects Lighting Filter. This high-quality filter is perfect for instances where a subtle tint of color is required, and it excels at rendering natural skin tones with a transmission of 78% and -0.4 stops.
As part of Rosco's premier Roscolux range, this filter is crafted using a unique tri-extrusion technology, ensuring it withstands the heat of theatrical lights for an extended lifespan. This process involves sealing the colored layer between two ultra-thin layers of clear film, significantly reducing dye migration and prolonging the filter's effective life.
Known as "Supergel" in international markets, Roscolux is the most widely used filter range globally, thanks to its durability and versatility. The Roscolux Bastard Amber filter is primarily made from co-extruded polycarbonate plastic, accounting for over 65% of its composition, while the rest is deep dyed polyester.
Unlike ordinary color filters that are surface coated on clear polyester plastic film, Roscolux filters have the color embedded, making them resistant to heat and physical abrasion. This means the risk of dye removal, fading, and scratching is significantly reduced, ensuring your filter remains in top condition for longer.
The Roscolux Bastard Amber filter is available in 20x24 inch sheets, perfect for a variety of lighting effects. For larger requirements, the Cinelux line of filters offers rolls of 48x25 feet. Elevate your lighting game with the Roscolux Bastard Amber, a professional, versatile, and effective color effects lighting filter.
