Although it didn't matter for the purposes it's used for, I was quite surprised and disappointed to open the package to find what clearly was a used item. The 2-ft.-square gel looks as though it was run over by miniature, very dull lawn perforator -- no holes, just hundreds of small, sharply-made dimples. And there are smudges, etc. Yet, someone went to the trouble of rolling it up into a mailing tube, which was further packed in an over-size box. The shipping department gets compliments; I don't know who at the store or warehouse failed to check the item. Anyway, these things happen occasionally, and Adorama has always been an excellent supplier. Yes, I would recommend them; we all make mistakes.

Excellent for our use.
Over the years, the Rosco CalColor #4415 Green Filter has become an essential tool for photographers and cinematographers who are keen on capturing the perfect color balance in their work. This 1/2 Stop, 20x24" Sheet filter is meticulously engineered to align with the spectral sensitivity of color film.
The unique feature of this green filter lies in its design, which is based on 15 density levels that correspond to the well-known 1/2 stop calibration. This calibration is a key factor in achieving precise control over the coloration of the image, making it a reliable tool for professionals.
In the realm of color photography, the light-sensitive emulsion layers are responsible for separately recording each individual color component of the spectrum. The Rosco CalColor #4415 Green Filter plays a crucial role in this process, specifically adjusting the transmission of the green component at each individual light source.
This strategic adjustment allows photographers and cinematographers to exercise selective and predictable control over the image's coloration as rendered by the film. The result is a more accurate and vibrant representation of the green spectrum, enhancing the overall quality and depth of the final image.
In conclusion, the Rosco CalColor #4415 Green Filter is not just a filter, but a professional tool designed to bring out the best in color film photography and cinematography. Its precise calibration and unique design make it an indispensable asset for those seeking to capture the world in its true colors.
