NANCY R : How would one go about putting a warm-colored gel (such as Roscolux cinegal 3443 quarter straw CTS) over a LED lightbulb to improve the color of the light emitted?NICHOLAS C : Measure out the size of the light source you need to cover, measure on the gel and cut accordingly. Keeping the gel in place is a different animal though- you can use rubber bands, ball bungees, clamps or clothespins, or attach velcro to the source and the gel. keep your attachment method in mind when measuring and cutting the gel. but keep in mind gels are a finite commodity and it's not good for them the light to keep them pressed against a hot light source for long periods.
