The Roscolux Congo Blue filter provides a deep, saturated blue hue. It is perfect for creating the illusion of dark night skies or providing a dramatic backlight color in photography, film, or stage lighting.
Roscolux filters are manufactured using a unique tri-extrusion process. This process combines three discrete layers, with the colored layer sealed between two microscopically thin layers of clear film. This structure minimizes dye migration and extends the filter's effective life, even under hot theatrical lights.
The Roscolux line consists of two types of plastic. Over 65% is made from co-extruded polycarbonate plastic, known for its exceptional durability and heat resistance. The remaining filters are made from deep dyed polyester.
Yes, the Roscolux Congo Blue filter is widely used by professionals in the film, television, and photography industries. It's recognized globally for its high-quality and versatility.
Unlike ordinary color filters that are prone to quick fading and scratching due to surface-coated clear polyester film, Roscolux filters are crafted from robust co-extruded polycarbonate and deep dyed polyester. This ensures consistent and vibrant lighting effects throughout your production.

I ordered 6 of these in different colors. Four of them arrived looking well used. Lots of scuffs and dents. One had an eight inch crease. Only 3 of the 6 had the white paper on them. These are extremely thin, like cellophane. I have my doubts as to how well it will take the heat. The only good thing I can say about them is that they are slightly larger than advertised.
