As part of Rosco's premier Roscolux range, this filter is crafted using a unique tri-extrusion technology, ensuring an extended lifespan even under intense theatrical lighting conditions. This process involves sealing the colored layer between two ultra-thin layers of clear film, significantly reducing dye migration and prolonging the filter's effective life.

Known as "Supergel" in international markets, Roscolux is the most widely used filter range globally, thanks to its superior quality and durability. The Roscolux Light Salmon filter is made from two types of plastic, with over 65% of the filter composed of co-extruded polycarbonate plastic, while the rest is deep dyed polyester.

Unlike ordinary color filters that are made by surface coating clear polyester plastic film, Roscolux filters are not merely painted on the surface. This unique manufacturing process makes them resistant to heat and physical abrasion, preventing the dye from easily fading or scratching off, ensuring a longer-lasting, vibrant color effect.
