Before you embark on your next creative project, consider the vibrant and dynamic effects you can achieve with Rosco Fluorescent Paints. Available in a spectrum of nine colors, each more brilliant than the last, these paints are designed to "glow" intensely under ultraviolet lights, creating a stunning visual impact.
Whether you're looking to create dramatic special effects with ultraviolet black light or simply want to enhance the vibrancy of your existing Rosco Scenic Paints, these fluorescent paints are a versatile addition to your artistic toolkit. Crafted with the same high-quality, water-based, vinyl acrylic binder found in our popular Off Broadway Paints, they offer a reliable and durable finish on a variety of surfaces.
To ensure optimal results, it's important to properly prepare your chosen surface. It should be clean, dry, and free from dirt and grease. For porous surfaces, excluding fabrics, we recommend priming with Rosco Tough Prime. If you're working with a new plaster surface, start with a commercial primer/sealer designed specifically for raw plaster, followed by Rosco Tough Prime for the final preparation. A white base coat is recommended to achieve the most dramatic color effects.
When it comes to application, stir the contents well before use. The paint can be applied by brush, roller, or spray gun in thin, uniform coats. Use good quality brushes or rollers and apply with overlapping strokes, maintaining a wet edge for the best results.
Please note that the fluorescent pigments may degrade with prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light, so it's best to avoid direct sunlight where possible. While the paint can be diluted with water if necessary, this may reduce the hiding power and brightness of the "glow."
With a shelf life of approximately 24 months when stored in a temperature-controlled location, Rosco Fluorescent Paints are a long-lasting investment in your creative endeavors. Please note that the paint should be used straight out of the can for the best results.
Whether you're a professional artist or a DIY enthusiast, Rosco Fluorescent Paints offer a unique way to bring your visions to life.
