Take your safety measures to the next level with the Flamex DF Flame Retardant, specifically designed for delicate fabrics. This product, ideal for both scenery and costume materials, ensures an effective flame resistance without compromising the softness or drape of your fabrics.
Roscoflamex DF, a gentle yet powerful solution, is compatible with most natural or synthetic fiber fabrics. It has been meticulously premixed, eliminating the need for any further dilution. The application method and the quantity of Roscoflamex DF required may vary depending on the type of fabric being treated.
One gallon of this flame retardant can treat approximately 500 square feet (46.4 square meters) of fabric. There are several methods of application, including dipping, brushing, and spraying. Dipping is the most efficient method, requiring the fabric to be completely immersed for ten minutes before being hung to dry. Brushing involves using a wide lay-in brush to work the Flamex solution into the fabric fibers, ensuring adequate absorption. Spraying requires careful calculation of the solution needed, as a significant portion may not fall on the fabric.
Roscoflamex DF has received approval from the California and New York City Fire Marshalls and has been tested according to NFPA 701 standards. It is recommended to store Flamex products in non-metallic containers and clean any metal sprayers immediately after use.
This flame retardant is ideal for treating a variety of delicate fabrics including sheers, silks, organza, chiffon, lace, and gauze. However, it is always recommended to treat a test sample first to determine the fabric's reaction and to test for effective flame retardance.
Please note, Roscoflamex DF is a new formulation designed to enhance performance on delicate and sensitive materials. It is advised not to mix old and new Flamex products. Always read the instructions supplied with any Flamex product carefully. Rosco offers these products in good faith, but without guarantee, as the materials treated and methods of application are beyond the manufacturer's control.
