Why settle for less when it comes to fire safety The Flamex DF Flame Retardant for Natural Fiber Fabrics, a 5-gallon (18.95 liters) solution, is your trusted ally in ensuring your scenery, props, and costumes meet local fire regulations. This product is specifically designed for fabrics made of natural fibers, making it an ideal choice for treating cotton, muslin, scrims, cotton netting, natural velours, wools, linens, natural felts, and a wide range of decorative, garment, or upholstery fabrics.
The Flamex DF Flame Retardant is a product of Rosco, a trusted name in the industry. It's premixed and ready to use, eliminating the need for further dilution. The application method and the amount required may vary depending on the fabric, but rest assured, this solution is easy to use and leaves no greasy residue.
One gallon of this flame retardant can treat approximately 500 square feet (46.4 square meters) of fabric. It can be applied through dipping, brushing, or spraying. For dipping, immerse the fabric completely for ten minutes and hang to dry. If you prefer brushing, use a wide lay-in brush and apply in a criss-cross pattern to ensure adequate absorption. For spraying, use a Hudson-type sprayer with a medium nozzle setting, spraying in a back and forth pattern from the bottom to the top of the fabric.
The Flamex DF Flame Retardant has been approved by the California and New York City Fire Marshall and has been tested according to NFPA 701 standards. For storage, it's recommended to keep Flamex products in non-metallic containers and clean any metal sprayers used immediately after use.
Please remember to always read the instructions supplied with any Flamex product and test a sample before using to determine how the fabric will react and to ensure effective flame retardance. The Flamex DF Flame Retardant is comparable to the original Roscoflamex C26, but it's advised not to intermix old and new Flamex products.
Choose Flamex DF Flame Retardant for Natural Fiber Fabrics, your reliable solution for fire safety.
