Experience the superior protection of the Flamex SF Flame Retardant, expertly engineered by Rosco for synthetic fiber fabrics. This product is specifically designed to overcome the challenges of treating synthetic fabrics, which do not absorb liquids in the same way as natural fibers.
Flamex SF is a penetrating treatment that forms a secure bond with the surface of the threads, reaching deep within the weave of the material. This ensures that the flame retardant chemicals are firmly embedded, providing an effective and durable protective treatment.
This versatile flame retardant is suitable for a wide array of synthetic fabrics, including polyesters, nylons, acrylics, and rayons, as well as most cotton/synthetic blends. It's an ideal choice for a broad spectrum of scenery properties and costume construction. However, we always recommend testing a sample first to ensure compatibility and effectiveness.
Flamex SF leaves no residue or powdery build-up, simplifying the task of ensuring your soft goods and scenic fabrics meet the stringent expectations of Fire Marshalls. It comes premixed and does not require any further dilution.
Application methods vary depending on the fabric in use, but Flamex SF can be applied by dipping, brushing, or spraying. One gallon of Flamex SF can treat approximately 500 square feet (46.4 square meters) of fabric.
Flamex SF has been approved for use by the California and New York City Fire Marshalls and has been tested according to NFPA 701 standards. For storage, we recommend non-metallic containers to maintain the product's integrity.
Please read the instructions supplied with Flamex SF carefully. Rosco offers this product in good faith, but without guarantee, as the materials treated and methods of application are beyond the control of the manufacturer. Always test before using to determine the suitability of Flamex SF for your intended use.
Experience the peace of mind that comes with using Flamex SF Flame Retardant, the trusted choice for synthetic fiber fabric protection.
