Overcome the challenges of digital compositing with the high-quality DigiComp HD Digital Compositing Paint. This innovative product, developed by industry leader Rosco, is specifically designed for crisp, clean separation of foreground and background elements in post-production processes. Its ultra-flat finish and precise color standards minimize the need for post-production touch-ups, saving you valuable time and resources.
The DigiComp HD paints are formulated with single-source pigments that produce a highly-specific spectral reflectance and high-gain reflectivity. This results in a bright, narrow bandwidth of green or blue that is both easy to light and simple to key. Unlike generic or paint-store mixed formulations, DigiComp HD prevents spectral interference, reducing the need for time-consuming rotoscoping and key manipulation.
Ready for use straight out of the can, these professional-grade paints provide even coverage in two easy-to-apply coats. They are versatile enough for use on a variety of porous surfaces, including wood, wallboard, sheetrock, plaster, and concrete. For optimal results, it is recommended to properly clean, prime, and prepare your surface before application.
The ultra-flat finish of DigiComp HD paints ensures there is no sheen or gloss, eliminating the risk of white or yellow appearances on camera that can spoil your key. This is a significant advantage over the "flat" finishes available from paint or hardware stores, which often have some sheen when lit for camera.
Available in both green and blue, DigiComp HD allows you to choose the proper color based on your shooting medium and subject matter. For film shooting, blue is recommended due to the sensitivity of the blue layer of the film emulsion. For digital/HD shooting, green is preferred as most digital/HD camera chips are more sensitive to this color.
DigiComp HD paints are ready for use directly out of the can, requiring no dilution. For best results, surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from dirt and grease. Use a white primer, such as Rosco Tough Prime White, for optimal color coverage. Stir contents well before and during use, and apply in thin, even, uniform coats using a 3/8" nap roller or an appropriate airless spray system.
With DigiComp HD Digital Compositing Paint, you can achieve professional, durable, and versatile results in your digital compositing projects.
