Great cheap way to try out a bunch of different colored filters. I've just been holding them up one by one in front of the built-in flash on my Sony a6000 while changing the background lighting in my room, and the two-tone effects are pretty cool. The samples aren't all cut super evenly and sometimes they stick to each other a little bit, but what do you expect at this price point? That's a minor complaint anyway that only causes momentary inconvenience.

You know, it's a little book with a ton of different gels. It's pretty straight forward.

If you need to see what color gels filters you might like to purchase in larger sheets, this is a great resource. If you wish to turn your speed flash into any color in the rainbow, this product is fabulous. If you have one of the many flash diffusers that slides over your flash, the filters fit nicely between the diffuser and flash. Just be sure to push the filter toward the diffuser side and let the flash cool periodically if you repeatedly shoot at full power to prevent melting of the filters. If you have several flashes and you wish to match the colors, order several books.

It will do the trick for small flashes. Great for the price to experiment with.

SO MANY COLORS! Wow, this little pack is full of colors. Each gel is the perfect dimension for testing flash colors on my Canon Speedlights (430EX). I didn't give it 5 stars because the pack has a hole punched in each gel (which is useful for putting them all on a string or loop) but when the hole was punched (with something hot) it melted a lot of them together and they're hard to separate without ripping... Good testers otherwise. I'm looking forward to testing on white backdrops for added effect.

Exactly what you think they are: a small booklet of jillions of swatches. Fantastic for using as gels for light painting photography by putting them in front of various light sources, such as flashlights, speedlights, etc., and at an economical cost.

This is a nice gel sample kit. My only complaint is the screw holding it together makes it awkward to handle. I would rather have them in a small box.

are you kidding??? For the money????? these gels fit PERFECTLY (with a small snip of the scissors, or a simple fold) in my SB series Nikon gel holders to give me EVERYTHING I could possibly want in a gel color filter..... have you EVER seen THAT color array, ANYwhere else? Especially for the money...... had you looked at the price of the gel sheets they represent? Could you afford to experiment with that much color any other way? I'm thinking I need a secomd order to keep in my freezer JUST in case something goes wrong with any of these..... I am having SOOOOOO much fun with these!!!!!

perfect size for my Nikon Speed light, the gel holder they provide, and nicely informative. The seperator paper has the color spectrum information about each sheet/color and I find that very helpful in choosing the colors I wan't or need. It'd be handy if it were in a rolodex or something like that to better access and/or contain them, but otherwise a great product and an outstanding price!

It's nice that these gel samples just happen to fit very well across the lenses of my Canon flashes. The present environmental conditions have created a nice static charge that does a great job of holding them in place without the need for tape. I've been experimenting with the gels on a 3rd flash to modify the background light for portrait work etc. and I'm happy with the results. So far, the corner hole has not been an issue, especially since they are really samples to aid in choosing which colors to buy in large sheets :-).

Put gaffers tape to edge and stuck to firm, ridged paper to slip in camera bag. Easy to peel off and place over flash head.

Has any color you could possibly need. Almost too small though.

I bought them to try out various colors for whatever use. However, to see the results, I need to fire a flash through them, and they are too small. The spill dilutes the colors. So, no real use to me.

Great for flash photography. There are a lot of materials you can find online for its proper use. Balancing and shifting colors is what I used that for. Be aware you prob. going to use a convention chart to identified them if you are used to a different nomenclature.

Works well, especially the ones for balancing out Tungsten lighting. You may want to get a ball chain loop to run through them so that you may access them easier.

Great for color correction and special effect strobe use - much cheaper than buying sheets of gels, and you get the whole catalog of colors!

I use them for coloring the light from my strobes and for this use they are perfect. I only wish I had a small container to hold them in.

This is a great value if you shoot a modern flash with a small nose but they are too small for the 2"x3" lens on my Vivitar flashes

I bought 2 packs of these to be used for effects and color balance with small strobes.

Great product for the money. But it is a little thin and has a hole when you detach it from it's rivet. Besides that, it is great.

Book has wide array, but difficult to get them out encouraging one time use, the upside is at this cost you can get away with one time use
