I got this gadget at Adorama's pretty amazing Black Friday price, which seems like a fair amount to ask for this thing any day of the year. I paid just over 100 bucks, but I've seen it for Twice as much, which is a little nuts. I also own the kick model, and it lacks a couple of features of that Model, such as the possibility to tune the samples, or enrich them with reverb or distortion. Instead, you can load your own samples, which is reasonably easy once you figure out the limitations: your wav files need to be 16bit and 44000 hertz. You can load more than one file into each slot, which leads to a setup where variations in attack lead to different sounds being triggered. You could, for instance, load an open and a closed hi hat. I am using this toy with my feet while playing guitar, and so I can create a fun "boom-Chack" beat with my kick and this thing providing snare or hi hat or chabasa or shaker sounds. Fun! And not too annoying for the audience, unless you overdo it.
