Digital 14" Snare Pad with Advanced Sensors and a Traditional Throw-Off Lever
The PD-14DSX is included with every V-Drums 5 Series kit. When paired with the deep capabilities of the flagship V51 module, this advanced snare pad offers the most natural playing experience in electronic drumming, with ultra-detailed positional sensing and over 16,000 velocity variations across the entire pad surface. The multi-sensor trigger system and high-speed digital communication translate every nuance, from hard hits to the softest articulations. Hand position is automatically detected, allowing for seamless transitions between headshots, rimshots, and cross-stick playing.

A newly designed pad structure provides a natural look and feel, with a rubber hoop set inside of the triple-flange hoop and rim height like a standard acoustic snare. The PD-14DSX is also fitted with a throw-off mechanism to turn the virtual snares on or off with the quick flip of a lever, while the strainer knob enables you to dial in snare tension with a twist. Additionally, the knob includes a button to control assignable functions in the module.

The CY-14R-T and CY-16R-T V-Cymbal features a significantly thinner profile than previous generations, offering an organic and expressive playing experience with even response, improved stick feel, and natural acoustic swinging motion. And with its elegant textured design, the CY-14R-T and CY-16R-T projects an authentic acoustic look on stage.

In most V-Drums modules, the sensor system can be configured for use as a ride cymbal (bow/bell) or crash cymbal (bow/edge). Three-way triggering is supported via two cables with advanced V-Drums modules, providing independent sounds on the edge, bow, and bell. The cymbal can also be choked simply by grabbing the edge-just like a real acoustic cymbal.
