Questions & Answers

EVAN B : Does the nano receiver work with the jrx transmitter?JEF R : I don't have a jrx, so I haven't tried it, but it's supposed to work.LAURA DEL V : Compatible with RadioPopper Px and JrX systemsDON V : Hi I Don't know because the transmitter is base of a frequency and this gives you four choices and the jrx has to be on the same frequencies so you will have to call the manufacture or see if the specs say that there compatibleJOEY M : I have the jrx studio set. So yest will work. You will probably have to set the slave on a different channel.GARY L : Yes, the jrx receiver will fire the nano flawlessly, but you will not be able to use the remote power adjustment feature on the jrx transmitter to a nano receiver. If you are wanting to adjust power levels remotely then you also need a jrx receiver on the strobes you wish to remotely adjust. Currently I am using a jrx transmitter with three nano and two jrx receivers. I can remotely adjust the light output put to the jrx receivers, but manually adjust the light output from the nanos.CHRISTOPHER P : I had the same question. According to Radiopoppers website they do.NATHAN L : Yes. It works with the jrx and PXDwayne R : Yes it's works with Percision with all other Radio poppers productsJULIA F : Yes! I have the jr system and can trigger the nano using it.
PATRICIA V : Does the set of theses do TTL reading from the Nikon D700 to the flash units?AMIEL A : I use manual on these nano receivers, if use TTL I use my Nikon SU800 with my Radiopopper px model receiver and transmitter.RONA K : I have a set of these. I use a Nikon D90 with studio strobe lighting. They are the best set I have used so far. They fire every single time. I am loving them.PEGGY R : I shoot Canon, and with my flash I have to set the other flash manually.CONRAD L : no.the nanos only do manual flash. buy the px system if you want ettlBENJAMIN J B : No the units do not support TTL control, only manual. I have wondered though if TTL control, would be possible by adding the RadioPopper RPCube, which claims TTL throughput when combined with other RadioPopper systems. Probably a question for the manufacturer.
WARREN R : Do I need to buy the receiver and transmitter in order to take a photo wirelessly or do I purchase two transmitters?RAY R : You need a transmitter and a receiver, or two "transceivers" which do both.PHIL M : You need a transmitter to go on the camera hot shoe and at least one receiver to fire a remote flash. If you have more than one flash you could purchase a receiver for each flash or, if the flash had the ability, fire the second flash using the light from the first one. Of course if anyone else is using a flash near you, such as at a wedding or event, your second flash will fire every time someone else fires their flash.WARREN R : Thanks DavidDAVID L : You need the Trans and the Receiver.

My review (after a few years) Traveling Studio

Get the Flashpoing R2 TTL. Why? First, it has TTL. Second, it's cheaper. Last, it doesn't have an annoying antenna. That will be my next replacement for the Radio Popper. These little guys have worked well for me for a while but they're flimsy. The antenna sheath comes off/breaks easily and the housing on one of my receivers broke. (No idea how). What are they good for? Battery life is amazing on these Nano's. I've had mine for a few years now and haven't replaced them... I've put several thousand shots through each (I have three). They're reliable... always pop off when expected. They're very simple to use and get the job done but... with FP's affordable R2 system... it's hard to justify. What would make the Nano worth it? Add a loop and lanyard for a lanyard to hang on a light stand, make the antenna internal, and include more than one type of sync cable.

They're easy very easy to use!

I've been using RadioPopper's for several years now and I'm a sucker for consistent, reliable equipment. The Nano line of transmitters/receivers are my workhorses! I never worry if they're going to fail during a shoot. I highly recommend the Nano line for anyone just starting out with off camera lighting. They're easy very easy to use!

Great reliable triggering

We have tried many triggers in the past, none have live up to the Radio Popper. Great basic triggering of strobes and speedlights alike. Easy to use, great battery life.

Very Happy

I bought a radiopopper nano transmitter and 2 receivers, and since I sold my canon gear and went all Nikon but kept the canon flashes, was overjoyed when I put the 600ex-rt on one of these receivers and the transmitter on the D800 and started blasting away. Even though its not ttl and you have to shoot manual settings on the flash, that's OK I know how to use my flashes and the camera to get the best results, plus it makes me a better photographer to shoot manual control on my flashes along with knowing how to use my DSLR for best results

Love no cords!

I found this easy to use and worth the money for sure. I have a three light set up and only needed on receiver and of course the transmitter. Its so nice to be able to shoot without tripping over a cord or reattaching it when it comes loose. Very pleased

Just what I've been looking for!

I bought the transmitter and receiver at the same time (naturally) and I love this pair! I've been shopping around for a long time and had finally settled on the RadioPopper JrX system until I read that they were coming out with something new. I'm really glad I waited because it is easy, reliable, affordable, compact, unobtrusive...the list goes on. As a professional, you can't go wrong with this system. The only thing I will say that may be a drawback is that both the transmitter and receiver seem to go into "sleep" mode fairly quickly to save battery power. If you are shooting continuously this is not a problem, but if you let it sit for just a couple minutes, the next shot you take will not trigger the flash. Instead it wakes up the RadioPopper and then works normally. Just make sure you don't wait for that "money shot" and risk missing it.

RadioPopper Nano-Transmitter

I use this product for off camera flash with high school seniors. And when I'm doing studio flash without having to use the sync cord is wonderful. I've been wanting to use the RadioPopper ever since they made their appearance, but for one reason or another, I waited. Now, it was definitely worth the wait! Small, a dream to work with! Amazing product! I couldn't be happier! I highly recommend this product to everyone!
