Remo+ RemoBell Wi-Fi Video Doorbell, Operates on AA Batteries, Silver

I have had the unit a few weeks and it goes through the batteries. One of the batteries that came with the unit was dead, would not take a charge. I had other rechargeable batteries at the house so I have been using those. I get about 4 days, Denver winter temps, and I need to replace the batteries. I may hard wire a larger battery to the unit and have a solar panel charge.

Does exactly what I needed it to do. There is a small lag in notifications, but it's not a serious issue. I also got the Chime with it so I'm not dependent on my phone when I'm at home.

I would have given it 5 stars but one serious flaw compared to the ring is the live feed. The rechargable batteries included are 100% better than having to take off & usb charge the rings that we have on the other house. The Remo connects faster and doesn't go off as much with loud vehicles.

I like this unit, I have it mounted out in my drive way near my back gate. I want to know if UPS has arrived or if I have a visitor. Works well, maybe a little slow on the wake up to begin recording. For the money this is a very good value. Would recommend, I should add I live out in the sticks and have a slow internet and WiFi.

Very touchy, either notifications go off too much or not at all. It picks up traffic on my small side street and misses the mail man other times which is the reason I got it. Security and notifications when someone is in my property or at my front door yet it rarely works as it should. Very disappointed.

Great price. Good Quality picture and sound. Drawback,short Battery life with rechargeable batteries.Loaded them for 36 hours. Camera lens view area too small.

Fairly impressed. For the price, the RemoBell was a no-brain steal. The deal I received included the RemoBell, Remo Chime, rechargeable batteries, and 1-year free cloud storage. As a result of this deal, I returned my Ring Door Bell. Which I was not quite at all that impressed, due to overall value. Now on to the specifics. One critical pro of the RemoBell is its quick notification-click-view/speak process. Now, don't get me wrong, if the subject is really fast, you will just miss them. Keep watching and you'll see them leave, since the RemoBell/ RemoPlus keeps the live-feed going or if you are accessing it later, Cloud storage keeps the last 30-45 seconds. I had bought the DoorCam previously and experienced that quick process and I was sold. BTW: the DoorCam is pretty good too. Another pro is that the timing from when the RemoBell detects motion to the sounding of the chime, which is near instantaneous. The cons I've experienced with the RemoBell are its wi-fi signal, battery life, battery accessibility, and most crucial no live-feed. First the wi-fi signal; my RemoBell is installed on my front gate about 20 feet away from my Access Point and at times the feed isn't clear for the first 5-8 seconds; which, can be frustrating. The battery life is fine, but wish it was better; however, I understand the price savings. I currently have gotten 2 1/2 weeks from fully charged batteries, so not too bad. One thing that makes the recharging of the batteries an absolute chore, is the fact that you have to totally remove the RemoBell to access the batteries. It would be nice if Remo+ would have made it a tray type battery holder where you could just push up and slide out. Remo+ could still have a security screw. Lastly, there is no live-feed viewing capability like the Ring Doorbell. Sometimes this is a nice feature when there is commotion outside out of the detection area. All the cons are definitely outweighed by the pros, so overall, I am still satisfied with the RemoBell. The deal was just too good to pass up and the experience is definitely on par with Ring.

Works great except for it picks up the trees blowing in the wind and the cars going by on the road that is about 40m yards away. I turned down the motion sensor to low and it seems to help some.
