Shopper : Does this swivel or allow adjustable positioning to tilt a reflector?JANET Z : No, this is not what you need -- it does not swivel (other than rotating on the top of light stand) and even if it did it could not be strong enough to elevate the reflector and hold it at a tilt -- it merely holds the reflector hanging straight down (or at a small slant if the bottom of the reflector is supported by something else, like the floor or a table) . The simplest option for what I suspect you want is a reflector holder boom arm that has two swivel clips (one for either side of the reflector, a boom arm that can rotate and that attaches to a light stand, and a substantial (5 lb) counterbalance weight at the end of the boom arm so that the weight of the reflector does not make the boom arm fall straight down; I have one of these and it works quite well. Other options include a c-stand (can even be used to put the reflector over the top of a person); a super-heavy duty multi-clamp with a light stand attachment (this will swivel and can probably hold the weight of the reflector at a tilt but will still be right next to the light stand -- i.e., no boom arm); two light stands with a heavy duty swivel clamp on each one to hold both sides of the reflector; or a free standing reflector with a stand or feet and some sort of t-grip.LEON F : No, this holder does not swivel-you would need a swivel on the stand.DIANE D : No, it doesn't swivel to allow for angling the reflector. That would have been a good feature to have.

Cheap and effective

Really, this is such a simple gadget. It's also quite necessary. The only reason for a 4 star, instead of 5 star rating, is that when I went to push the clip to clamp it onto my reflector, it broke. I had used it for over a year before that happened, but I had to buy another one. Things that break too soon can't have a 5 star rating.
