The adapters will stay in place very well, as it does not take too long to unscrew them again if you wish to un-adapt. But these are semi-permanent: they will not come easily off your lens unless you unscrew them. That said, they are very firm when screwed in and easy to unscrew when I want to put my lenses back on my Nikon.
