It works with lens rings

I needed a plate for my 70-200mm that wouldn't shift on my (default) tripod head. Since this one has a little lip on it the one side it prevents it from shifting. So it works for what I intended it to use it for. It's sturdy and stays in place.

RRS Bi-Directional body Plate

I bought a couple of RRS Bi-directional plates from Adorama to use on Sony A9M2 and A7RIV cameras and Arca Swiss Monoball p0+ Ball Head. The RRS Bi-directional plates exceeded my expectations in terms of quality, light weight, color, fit and function. When the RRS plate is installed with logo on the lens side, it is nicely centered and balances the cameras when laid down. The extra screw slot that comes with the RRS body plate also comes handy when I need to quickly mount the [Pro] master SWIFT camera strap to carry the cameras!

It works with lens rings

I needed a plate for my 70-200mm that wouldn't shift on my (default) tripod head. Since this one has a little lip on it the one side it prevents it from shifting. So it works for what I intended it to use it for. It's sturdy and stays in place.

Really Right Stuff multi-use plates are designed for some camera bodies and scopes are precision machined from solid blocks of 6061-T6 aluminum. Fully compatible with any Arca-Swiss style quick-release system, our plates feature simple square anti-twist flanges that prevent twisting between the plate and the camera body. This quick release plate utilizes a custom machined 1/4"-20 threaded, captive-style mounting screw that threads into the tripod mounting socket of your camera body.
