If you are using an Arca-Swiss mounting plate this is the way to go. Excellent functionality and beautifully engineered! You definitely get what you pay for. Well worth the price!!

RRS LCF-11 Foot for Nikon 500mm PF lens

The rear portion of the foot sticks out too far and prevents comfortable use of both my D850 and D6 in the vertical format position without rotating the foot to the top of the lens of my 70-200mm F/2.8 E.  It pinches my fingers against the grip, and I don’t have large hands.  This is not an issue with the 500mm F/5.6 E PF.  It seems well-built otherwise.  It’s just not well-designed in my opinion.
