Excellent, well-engineered product that can be used with more than just the BH-55.

Like everything produced by RRS, this is a superbly-engineered product, which is designed for the dimensions of the RRS flagship ball-head the BH-55. Even if you don't have a BH-55, you can add this base to any tripod head with a base diameter of less than 2.75 inches. I have an RRS B2 LR II (any quick release clamp will work) on the center column of my tripod, and I can quickly swap heads as required.

Bought a couple of these to go with the RRS clamp for mounting different tripod heads. Pricey, but I don?t expect it to fail.

Great for setting up a QR system with tripod and multiple heads. Perfect for BH-40 or WH-200 Gimbal. Large size works better for BH-55.

Highly recommend for your tri-pod/gimbal ball head security.

Just a no brainer. If you want to Change out your gimbal and or your ball head this is the only way to fly. This will allow you to switch support for all your expensive photographic equipment. This RRS gear, as you know is first class photographic equipment. More expensive however 100%worth the extra expense.

Who?d of thought an artist needs could be met by RRS

So I?m an artist and teacher. While most people think about using tripods for cameras and guns, I use mine to hold PleinAir easels, like Strada, Edge Pro Gear, Etchr Labs and Open Box M easels. Okay, so I sort of have a collection. Having a sturdy support is paramount, and at the top of the line in quality for me are the Really Right Stuff tripods and ball heads. However, RRS specializes in specific mounts for the various models of cameras, which tend to have a lip. This plate was my choice for the flat surface of easels and the rim encompasses the perimeter. I highly recommend it, if you are like me, and intend to use RRS to support your painting easels.

Perfect attachment on a gimbal head. Highly recommended.

Purchased this to attach to a new gimbal head. It’s the only way to attach the gimbal with a quick release, allowing for quick release of the gimbal from the tripod head. It allows me to remove the gimbal from a tripod quick release clamp for storage of the gimbal. This accessory is a must for me for transporting the gimbal with a quick release attached. Using this for quick release on a ground pod. Excellent attachment if you want a quick and easy release of your gimbal head.
