The RTW Half-19"/1U SurroundControl 8-Channel Audio Measurement Analyzer is designed for controlling, analyzing and monitoring stereo, surround sound and multi-channel programs. The SurroundControl unit is a 19" 1RU rack mount featuring eight 25-pin Sub-D connectors for analog and digital audio inputs and outputs. A measuring microphone is connected via a front panel 3-pin XLR male connector next to a headphones 1/4" connector for monitoring. The 30010 optional RTW Remote Display (VGA monitor with function keys) or any standard VGA display can be used for external monitoring.
This model combines the metering function of the RTW surround display devices and the control function of an 8 channel monitoring controller. The remote control features a volume control for up to 8 channels with channel functions including rear-to-front, mono, phase and side switching, solo, mute and dim. The system incorporates a surround test signal generator and an SPL meter for calibration of the studio monitoring system.
