I did a lot of research before purchasing the RotaTrim. Complaints of other brands included numbers and the grids rubbing off. didn't feel sturdy, etc. This one is made in England, wood base, I believe, and so far, cuts very well. Users need to remember that it only cuts in one direction. I'm only cutting one fine art paper, (relatively thick - 310mm) at a time, and it works great for that. It's a bit more money than others comparable in size, but it was worth it for me.
