After extensive research and development, the RTS Wireless BTR-80N UHF Synthesized Wireless Intercom system emerges as a high-tech, reliable solution for professional audio and video production. This user-friendly system delivers high-fidelity, full-duplex communications with minimum spectrum usage, ensuring clear and uninterrupted communication.
The BTR-80N system is a comprehensive package that includes the frequency-agile BTR-80N base station and up to four TR-80N or TR-82N frequency-agile beltpacks. These beltpacks operate in full-duplex communication mode, providing seamless interaction. For larger scale operations, an almost unlimited number of beltpacks can be integrated with the base station in Push-To TX mode (half-duplex), offering immense flexibility.
One of the standout features of the BTR-80N system is its two-channel audio operation. This allows the beltpack operator to switch between two separate audio channels, with the base station tracking the beltpack selection. This unique feature provides the flexibility to create both a party line and a private line within the same beltpack, catering to diverse communication needs.
The BTR-80N system is not only perfect for standalone operation but also seamlessly interfaces with other RTS wired intercom systems. It includes connections for auxiliary balanced audio input and output, as well as wireless talk-around (WTA) and stage announce (SA) features, enhancing its versatility.
Operating in the 500-518MHz Transmit/590-608MHz Receive range, the BTR-80N system ensures reliable performance even at line-of-sight distances of 1000 feet. With the addition of RTS antenna systems, the effective operating range can be significantly extended. The system's high-efficiency beltpacks, powered by NiMH rechargeable battery packs, provide between 8 and 11 hours of uninterrupted operation, making it a reliable choice for long-duration events.

- Frequency-agile base station and beltpacks. No external computer/device required to select frequencies
- Backlit base-station LCD allows the user to easily monitor the beltpack's status and change base station frequencies
- Squelch adjust on the BTR-80N, TR-80N, and TR-82N beltpacks
- Beltpack's battery level displayed on the base station and in beltpack's menus
- ClearScan function on base station and beltpack to automatically find the best channels on which to operate
- Full-duplex (simultaneous talk and listen) or Push-to-Tx (half duplex) operation
- Compatible with Audiocom (Telex), RTS TW and ClearCom wired intercoms
- Two (2) independent channels of intercom audio with the ability to operate party line and RTS matrix on the same intercom channel at the same time
- WTA (Wireless Talk-Around) beltpack control. This feature allows beltpacks to talk to each other, but their audio is lifted from any wired system connected to the base station
- SA (Stage Announce) beltpack control. Allows the user to direct their audio to a jack on the back of the base for P.A. systems or other external audio systems
- Relay contact closure on the base when the SA button is pressed
- Convenient IEC power connector on the base station so the unit can plug directly to outlets. No in-line or wall plug power supply
