Well made, very strong

Well made, very strong. Just wish it has some flexibility (like the optech straps) to make the bags feel lighter and easier to carry

What I’ve been looking for

Very light, plenty of compartments, strong shoulder strap components and a loop for carrying on rolling luggage. Maybe could use more internal padding around laptop but just a nitpick.

Good idea, bad engineering.

Skooba's old universal strap design was excellent; this one is not. The rubber tubes through which the bungee runs are too stiff to bend over your shoulder. The bungee also does not slide up and down the strap. To make this strap workable you can slide a straightened coat hanger into the tubes to protect the bungee (in white in the picture), use a sharp knife to cut through the rubber tube, and then use nail scissors to cut the rest of the tube down to the seam (as shown for the lower tube in the picture).

bungee strap

I also bought optech utility strap although it is a bit thinner 1 3/4 it's pad is I think superior less slipping and the springiness is comfortable . I will use both before I decide what stays on my camera bag.
