I use mine for flute and piccolo solo’s both recorded and live.  I can close mic to get full sound without any air in my tone.  My ?????????? rating!

My Rycote Super-Softie

I have tried other alternative options that are cheaper, and Rycote holds up to more use. This style does have more transparent sound than the fuzzy version so in my mind it is worth the extra cost.
