The mounts, measuring 58mm in diameter and 56mm in length, are designed to support short to medium length shotgun microphones. Please note, the Softie mount is specifically designed for cylindrical shotgun microphones and cannot accommodate microphones that taper.For longer microphones, such as the AKG CK68 or Audio Technica AT815b, which have an internal bore of 32cm (12-1/2"), a Full Windshield System and a Modular suspension are recommended. The Softie Windshield package includes a Softie Mount and a pistol grip handle. This handle can be used as a handheld mount or fitted to a boom pole with a 3/8" Whitworth thread.
