Before you settle for any microphone suspension, consider the Rycote XLR-3F 68 Duo Heavy Large Modular Suspension. This professional-grade equipment is specifically designed for shotgun microphones used within Windshield 6, accommodating mics no longer than 400mm and with a diameter of 19-34mm, and fitted with a 3 Pin XLR. This robust suspension system offers complete isolation from handling and cable-borne noises, cradling the microphone with Lyre suspension webs. These patented Lyre webs are renowned for their durability, outlasting traditional elastic or rubber components that are susceptible to wear and tear. The Lyre suspension webs are backward compatible, making them a perfect upgrade for older suspensions that originally used silicone O-rings. Available in five different varieties, you can customize your setup to suit your specific recording needs (see Kit Contents Tab for more details). This versatile suspension system is also suitable for small diaphragm condensers up to 120mm in length and 19-25mm diameter, equipped with a 3 Pin XLR connector. The Rycote XLR-3F 68 Duo Heavy Large Modular Suspension includes a Rycote Pistol-grip with an integral XLR MarkII holder and a boom adaptor (with 3/8" adaptor) for handheld or boom operation. For maximum reduction in unwanted noise, a Connbox is fitted to Medium Suspensions (Windshield Kits 1- 11). The Connbox disrupts the transmission path of cable-borne noise and significantly reduces handling noise, ensuring crystal clear audio capture. To ensure optimal performance, this suspension system utilizes ultra-soft, flexible Mogami cable and gold pin Neutrik 3-pin XLR's.
