This comprehensive kit includes a Modular Windshield 4, PCS-Boom Quick Release Socket, and PCS Classic Adapter. Designed for professional use, this kit is perfect for mono shotgun or single-shank stereo microphones ranging from 246mm to 280mm in length, such as the Sennheiser MKH 416, MKH 60, and Schoeps CMIT 5U.The Modular Windshield 4 is a lightweight, durable basket made from flexible gray plastic netting with attached screening material. It's designed to withstand the rigors of broadcast and ENG, regardless of the weather conditions. The windshield slides onto the Modular Suspension, enveloping the entire microphone, connector, and suspension, creating a still volume of air around the microphone. This design offers excellent wind-noise reduction of up to 30dB with minimal high-frequency loss.The kit also includes a Windjammer WJ 4, a high-quality synthetic fur-cover that provides the highest possible protection against extreme wind-noise. When used over a Windshield, it can achieve up to 50 dB of wind-noise attenuation, ensuring excellent standard audio recordings.
