It's too snug.

The Rycote 104428 windscreen was purchased to replace a 15 year old windscreen that originally came with my Sennheiser ME66, that finally started to fall apart. The only problem with this particular Rycote windscreen, which is supposed to specifically fit the ME66, is that it is too snug to easily slip on and off the microphone, without fear of tearing it. The outside diameter of the ME66 is about 21.5mm, and the inside diameter of the Rycote 104428 is only 19mm. I don't take the windscreens off of my shotgun microphones very often, but this windscreen may not survive even a few such removals. Apparently the next larger diameter that Rycote makes is about 25mm, which is too large.
