Bought this product for multipurpose use. I am a college student and wanted it for lectures, but I am also shoot wedding video and wanted to use it as a "wireless lapel mic". Its great for lectures, but there is a repeating internally generated glitch type noise that can not be edited out. The noise is kind of like cell phone interference, but isn't. Although I never tried exchanging it for another device.

The manual reminds me of a road map then trying to refold it. The one that came with it has a lot of detail instructions for such a small but powerful unit.

You have to read the manual to get all of the bings and bangs you want from this little voice recorder. It records in a .voc file but in LP and SP you can record in .wav. You can also download from [...] to mpg3 converter that is designed for the RCA VR5220. [@]I have read reviews from people that obviously did not take the time to read the manual. If you are thinking of buying this voice recorder you can download the manual before you buy to read all this product can do. Download the manual [@] I found that the RCA VR5220 voice recorder is as competitive as all the rest. Try it, you'll like it.
