I am concerned that my 12' stand won't be able to support the weight.BRODY W : Greetings, Just to clarify, You will need 2 light stands with a cross bar to set this up as a background. In your question you only mentioned 1 "12' stand". I personally use a dedicated Backdrop Stand made by Denny. SKU# BS-1012. If you are concerned about the cross bar not holding the weight of the paper, use a third light stand placed exactly at the half way point on the cross bar to add additional support. This third stand will not be directly connected to the cross bar. The middle stand will be adding additional support from the outside of the roll of paper. I hope this helps :-)David Z : You will need some c stands with sand bags. It is heavy!!!.ELI K : I’m not sure of the actual weight, but shipping weight was approximately 60lbs, so actual roll was probably closer to 50lbs. I used two C-Stands armed out on either side to support the backdrop with no problem. Heavy duty light stands with a goalpost should work, but I prefer the heavier and wider base of the C-Stand.
