I have rented similar systems for years, but the specifics of a recent shoot necessitated buying one. I opted for the Savage 12x12' after factoring in the customer reviews and cost. Having now used it 2x, I will say that overall I am happy with my decision and it has served me well. Barring an accident, I suspect I will come out ahead versus the rental cost. That said, this is not a heavy duty system. It's important to understand that when purchasing. SOME NOTES : 1. STORAGE BAG is flimsy. Zippers are cheap & material is weak. It has worked fine so far, but it doesn't inspire confidence. 2. CROSSBAR is very good. It is well designed. My only complaint is that the screws used to secure to it to the stands stick out a bit to far to easily slip a roll of seamless over. 3. STANDS are okay & are comparable with other budget stands. If you already have decent stands and a carrying case though, I'd recommend just grabbing a crossbar like : SKU: BG272B MFR: 272B.

Very sturdy and easy to use. I use it for a 20x10 backdrop. I love that it comes in a carrying case too!

I bought this stand to quickly replace the Flashpoint stand I had purchased. The flashpoint stand the wingnuts stripped out with just a little bit of tightening - the base pose would not tighten. So, I bought this Savage stand because I had owned one before and it was pretty robust. I got on the Flashpoint bandwagon because the Flashpoint C-Stands package was/is amazing. Even the Flashpoint Pro tripods are suitable for my work. But, since these come with a colorful blue, I am suspicious these are actually made from the Flashpoint workflow. The Savage stand exhibited the same characteristics - the base wingnut stripped. I went to Home Depot and got a regular wingnut and it took basically all of strength with fliers to tighten the first pole extension. I would probably rate this 1.5 stars but I did like how the crossbars fit together. The Flashpoint bars were a total PIA and it required a small allen head...wtf?

Absolutely love this. Gives a greater flexibility to back drops. If you have the space, I recommend this set up.

I like the sturdiness of this stand. It holds up well. There is a slight sag with a 12’ painted canvas backdrop clamped to it. Otherwise it does it’s job quite well. You can use it for backdrops that are not as wide too. Just remove one of the sections.

I give it five stars because for the price you are getting more than what you are paying for. It is versatile and made well. The case packs everything nicely in its place.

Love the versitily of this product. Long, longer, use all 4 attachments or less... Add the other half as needed. Easy to assemble and the bag it comes with is super easy for storage. Haven't officially used it but I have tested it. It can become drupy at full length of 4 bars, so I will probably never go that long but just use 3 and extend the other half of needed.

Ok, I love these stands! I've used a fair number of cheap stands, and none of them hold a candle to these. The directions aren't super clear, but easy enough to figure out. The support poles snap together easily, and I don't feel like they are going to snap. My favorite part though is the magic piston in the stands! I work with kids, and it has prevented some accidents. And it's satisfying...don't ask!
