So far I really like this horn microphone. The weight it adds to a trumpet is not prohibitive. I will probably buy a second one for my sax. As far as I know, it's the only one available that doesn't require a battery pack, unless you want to spend over $1K. There have been complaints about the charging cord coming unplugged too easily. Yes, the magnetic attachment is weak, but I consider it a safety feature. If the cord gets tripped on, it's more likely to detach from the microphone, rather than whisk it to the floor (or a puddle of beer, as the case may be).
