No complaints at all. I called the manufacturer who helped me choose the color for my needs. Get an inexpensive steamer to keep it looking great.

This Savage “Olympia” hand painted Background is relatively true to the image shown on Adorama’s website. The background arrived in a small storage bag resulting in heavy wrinkling and creasing. The background was also quite dusty and gritty, likely the result of the painting process. The problems with wrinkles, and the dusty, gritty condition of this background is it cannot be washed. Cleaning is only by hand with a damp cloth. I am unsure if the background would stand up to a steamer to try to remove the wrinkles and creases where it was folded. Generally if the subject is placed far enough from the background the wrinkles and creases will not show in a typical portrait photograph. Nevertheless, the photographer should not have to worry about the condition of the background negatively affecting the image. The background is one-sided and light will show through the background if it is placed where there is a light source such as a window or ambient lighting behind.

Forgive the corny title, it fits for me! Never have been a fan of steaming muslin to save time on post, trying to get rid of distractions. However, this is well made, looks great and is in my “go to” box at all times. Not a problem to use and some folk are happy to use it once the ‘fold creases’ are obliterated; for me, i’ll steam first but if there’s no time, A’s is is just fine

I love the convenience of stuffing this muslin backdrop into a bag, and the final results were fantastic. This is a review of the Milano which is a gray backdrop with excellent detail. Highly recommended.

I just used recently for a church directory shoot and it was absolutely beautiful. I had so many people tell me they loved the colors in the muslim. It was a little pricey but I'm glad I invested the money into it. I'm sure it will last for years and years.

I was looking for a textured canvas backdrop but I couldn't find anything that I could afford right now. When it first arrived, I was very disappointed b/c the handheld steamer I had didn't get the wrinkles out. I even ironed it with no luck. I watched a youtube video where a guy sprays water w a weed sprayer for $7 (front and back) and bought a 22 set spring clamp set ($10) both from Home Depot. It really did the trick and I couldn't be happier. My portraits look super dramatic now and I'm really happy. Wish I can post pictures but seems like I can't. :)

Overall this is probably a nice background. My biggest complaint is that the color described is not the color received. This is definitely a greenish background - no at all brown. It's not an ugly green just not what I ordered. The carrying case is really poor quality also. The background fabric seemed nice.

Background is colored exactly as pictured on Adorama. This is a pro level, thick muslin that will last a long time. The only thing I can say is that when you get it new, it comes folded so the fold lines will show in your pictures. If you have a couple of days or weeks before you first have to use it, I would recommend unfolding it, then crumple it up and stuff it into a duffle bag so that the folds and creases are more random looking. Stuff it into the duffle bag bag after each use thereafter.

You do need a good stand and sandbag it - this is very heavy, canvas like cloth.
