This is the BEST C-Stand you can ever own. Savage did a outstanding job creating this C-Stand. It is heavy duty, built like a tank, and I love the flexibility it has. The one thing I really love about this C-Stand has the ability to add a extra light to shoot in a clam shell lighting setup. Its unique design features a patent-pending junior receiver on the lowest leg, enabling you to position a second light or modifier close to the ground or snugly into a corner, optimizing output in compact spaces.
This C-Stand stands out from the competition with its ability to maximize usage with minimal gear interference. The kit includes a 20" riser with a junior to baby pin that conveniently stores on the side of the 40" riser when not in use. This riser can be mounted into the leg's junior receiver for double action, allowing you to mount two lights or a light and a scrim on both risers, getting the most out of your C-Stand.
For ultra-low positioning, simply remove the junior to baby pin from the 20" riser and drop it into the leg junior receiver. You can also transfer the 40" riser from the center to the leg junior receiver to move a light snugly into a corner. The 20" riser can be adjusted through the foot of the leg to level the stand on stairs or uneven surfaces.
The C-Stand features fast-acting, foldable legs on a turtle base that open, close, and lock easily with a pull release knob. The kit also includes a 40" steel grip arm with an aluminum gobo head and a unique gobo clamp, designed to securely hold reflectors, scrims, flags, and other accessories. The gobo head can clamp onto a variety of objects ranging from 8mm to 35mm wide.
Reaching a maximum height of 9' 6" when fully extended, this heavy-duty stainless steel support can secure up to a 25 lb. load, outperforming its competitors. Built for rugged use, whether in the studio or on location, the black coated stainless steel material is weatherproof for added durability.
The stand also includes an adjustable hook for hanging cables and controllers when mounted high on the column, or sandbags and ballasts when mounted low. This hook can fold up alongside the riser when not in use.
