I Photograph amatuer theatre groups with three of these lights. Have had these for 3 years with no problems. Just obtained two more to expand lighting capabilities.Shooting most head shots at F5.6 and would like a little more power but for the price I like them

I guess I expected too much for the little money I spent. All would be well if the modeling lamp would be more true to the output - in other words, it has a poor variable visible output - with little visible difference between full power and lowest power. The modeling also does not go out on flash - the unit only beeps. Yeah, it's OK, buy it....

Just getting started with my own studio so i am always looking at my bottom line. This is a great monolight for the price. Does everything that i need without breaking the bank. Dont expect the brightness of the sun with this but for those of us just starting out/small studio...it gets the job done.

I bought this light to use as a kicker, and in my low-volume studio it excels in that arena. I have other 150 WS lights that produce enough light, but the FT-150 with user replaceable flash tubes and low cost makes this a gem. I don't need them now, but, I plan to buy a couple more just because the price is so good.
