A little low on the power output, but other than that, a great lighting kit. Lights are controllable from 10% to 100%, soft boxes pop open and closed, and the 8' foot light stands are much better quality than I expected. I've used it for product shoots with great success. Also great for single person portraiture kit.

Note: Though we may have come to expect that LED lamps have BATTERY connectors, these do not. The FAN in them is perhaps noisy enough to not be ideal for filmmaking close-up shots, but okay for photography. This is too bad for film because they are not super-powerful, and might need to be closer to the action. It might have been my imagination, but it seemed as though the fan was louder as the percentage of brightness was turned up. They seemed maybe as bright as one would expect for 160 LEDs, though they seemed a bit brighter than I expected for that many. Like most LED lamps, they need diffusion on them or seem too stark to the eyes. This of course cuts down the light substantially, at least one stop. One may hang an extra diffuser inside the soft box. Brightness of each seemed to be maybe 40% of a new 500-LED (Daylight) lamp with its plastic diffuser on, but this was hard to judge by eye. These might be fine for support lighting but not so much as a KEY light. And one may feel a need to move them pretty close. The DIMMER starts at 10% BUT the lights sometimes "flickered" substantially and sometimes barely at this setting, and I found that to be unusable. At around 13%, they seemed to not do so, and so I felt 14%-15% might be a safer minimum. After testing them on and off for a couple of weeks, they seemed to be able to be used at a lower percentage. The STANDS seemed typical for cheap stands, with some kind of spring inside when they touch bottom. The BAG is large enough for the kit, and then some, if it is broken down all the way. Even the stands fit in the bag. The SOFT BOXES took a bit longer to put together than I expected, but repeated times would speed this up. They simply slipped over the lamps themselves. I didn't try to turn them to any extreme angles, but I didn't get the impression that they would slip off.
