This is actually my second 870 EVO, and I went back to it because it's just so reliable. It runs completely silent and keeps everything moving fast, which is a huge relief if you're used to older, noisy drives. I have had my samsung 870 evo ssd for about 3 years now, and it has worked great even now, I switched from a old laptop HDD that took 10 minutes to boot windows, and with the SSD it took only 10 seconds till I was on the login screen, it is still in good condition and has not slowed down after all these years. I mainly use it to store games and it has plenty of storage to do so! I can have tons of games on it and still have extra space. I am very satisfied with my at the time $70 dollar purchase, it has fulfilled its purpose and then some.

I needed a separate removable storage drive for several computing areas at once - {1} document and evidence backup for legal and investigative work, {2} huge amounts of graphic design elements, web page drafts and more for my web design studies, and (3) worse for my studies of app development and coding through Visual Studio and Adobe Dreamweaver. This drive was never slowed, never jittered or acted strange for even one moment and I have not approached a storage level yet that needs worry or attention. At 2 TB I am well covered mine months later. Excellent drive for peace of mind.

It's amazing memory device but it does lag at times and the durability isn't very tuff at all drops once and cracked entire face plate so 3 out of 10 on durability lagging 5 out of 10 sorry

I picked up the Samsung 870 EVO 1TB SATA SSD to upgrade my system, and honestly it's been one of the easiest, most noticeable improvements I've made. Installation was super straightforward (just swapped it in, no drama), and boot times dropped immediately. Everything feels snappier-apps open faster, file transfers are quick, and it just runs smoothly without any weird lag. I'm not doing anything super intense like video editing all day, but for everyday use, light gaming, and general multitasking, it's more than enough. The 1TB space is also a sweet spot for me-I don't feel like I'm constantly managing storage. One thing I really like is how reliable it feels. I've had cheaper SSDs before that slowed down over time, but this one has stayed consistent. Also runs quiet and doesn't get hot, which I appreciate. Only thing to keep in mind is it's SATA, so it's not going to hit those crazy NVMe speeds-but if your system only supports SATA or you just want a solid, dependable upgrade, this is 100% worth it. Overall, super happy with it. Feels like one of those upgrades where you actually notice the difference every day.

Its always great to have extra storage, I dont think there will ever be a reason not to have it. The fact that I can transfer files from on drive to another with no problems at all and pretty quickly, is awesome. Not to mention, I've had mine for the past 4 years and its still lasting this long.
