It's compatible with many of my computer software etc it's reliable most definitely and wonderful endurance because I carry it with me whenever I go to my children's homes they actually stole it from me for about a week until I finally got it back they like The thermals I think that has something to do with gaming

I upgraded my old ssd with this new one and it's speed is so much faster and is way more reliable and the old one as it lasted much longer on my new set up.

Last year I upgraded from the 970 1TB version to the 990 2TB and I'm very happy with it! I was looking just for more space but didnt expect i'd notice such a difference in boot up time! Loving the upgrade!

At the time i bought it the price was a bit higher than being comfortable with. The price of it now makes it a no brainer for PC or PS5. I use it in my PC and it is still holding up at it's high speeds. The newer generation is definitely faster but this one still out performs sata ssd and sata hdd by a landslide.

Decent hard drive, we buy them work work and they last longer than the 5 years we use them for typically. Havent had any compability issues using them across various systems.

I first purchased some off brand SSD that required me to also purchase their software just to format and use the drive. And I did it because I just needed extra storage for my laptop and didn't want to go through the hassle of returning. Well, even after using their own software on their SSD. It still did not show on my PC. Needless to say, it got returned. I then purchased the 990 EVO Plus from Samsung. The installation was seamless. The cloning process was fast. And most of all the software was free. That was a major plus. As a retired PC tech I appreciate well thought out products. The speed of the SSD is phenomenal. I transferred gigabytes of data in mere seconds. My PC stays cool when in my lap. No major heat concerns. I can see not needing to upgrade for years to come. Samsung makes quality and tough products that will last. I believe it is highly durable & will endure the rigorous computing of this old technician. Thanks Samsung.

So far I haven't had any issues and I've owned it for about 2 years now. It's the fastest SSD that I own. If you're putting a heat sink on this make sure you remove the back sticker on the heat sink however the sticker on the SSD can stay on it because thermally wise it actually helps it.

Put in an acer swift x laptop. Was a bit worried since the laptop only has 1 fan, and the memory slot is as far away from the fan as they could have designed. However, it hasn't crapped out on me yet, even 1 year later! I use it for gaming and it works fast enough, and haven't had an issue yet.

Great speed and no worry of breakage, i have had samsung evo for 6 years, even have i had an issue, consistently adding more storage instead replacinging them because i know it can endure the test of time! I also appreciate how cool it stays allowing me to avoid that random bulky heatsink because it already has good thermals

My Personal Review - Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD I'm still pretty new to SSDs, so I don't know all the technical details. I just wanted something fast and reliable for my PC. After installing the Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB, I could tell the difference right away. Windows started much faster, my games loaded quicker, and moving large files didn't take nearly as long as before. The installation was easier than I expected-just insert the drive into the M.2 slot and set it up. The 2TB of storage gives me plenty of room for games, photos, and videos, so I don't have to worry about running out of space anytime soon. As someone just getting into PC hardware, I like that Samsung has a good reputation and that the drive just works without me having to mess with a lot of settings. I may not understand all the speed numbers yet, but I definitely notice that my computer feels faster and more responsive. If you're a beginner like me and want an SSD that's easy to use, has lots of storage, and makes your PC feel much quicker, I'd definitely recommend the Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB. It made upgrading my computer a simple and worthwhile experience.

Bought the 990 Evo Plus 1TB for some extra storage. I use it as a secondary drive in my custom PC and it's just as fast as my primary, although no DRAM, without any noticeable lag. Can't speak to reliability since it's only been a few months but it's been great. Health is still 100% in CDI with 14TBW.
