The brightness is not as good as it should be, and the blacks are not very crisp. Dark scenes and movies are very muddled.

I hate it. It was purchased for my dad, who is 77 and has Parkinson's. Unfortunately, it is completely un-usable and I could have just left the old tv that didn't work and saved him a whole lot of frustrations. The remote is impossible, even for me, to turn channel or volume up and down. Also, all he wants is regular antenna tv, which is apparently also impossible of a request these days. Its so hard to even find and get to and then no matter how many times I change the settings to come on to the same input it was on when turned off, it automatically defaults to stupid Samsung tv plus EVERY time!!! He has been unable to watch anything on the stupid tv and was the biggest waste of my money and my time. Furthermore, if it's on antenna tv on channel 6, u might think I could use the channel up button, but NOPE! Think again! If you try to go up or down on channels it goes right back to the horrible, stupid, pain in my tail samsung tv plus. Wish I could still return it as it is my worst purchase in life at this point, although im only 42, so I guess I may have a worse disappointment someday. So, unless you just love samsung tv plus, DO NOT buy a Samsung tv as it cannot be used for any other purpose except Samsung tv plus.

Really enjoy the TV. Great picture and features. Only negative is that it seems to default to Samsung TV plus when you turn it on. I haven't figured out how to set it to default to the last input source used. The vast majority of the time we are using our Verizon FIOS cable box on HDMI. It's a pain to have to use two different remotes - cable and TV to get to our preferred input source.

The colors are very bright, excellent quality picture for that size, actually quite surprised because I also have a QLED, and it gives my QLED a run for its money if you will, but overall very good quality, will definitely be purchasing another one

I actually bought this 43" U8000F to use as a secondary gaming monitor and I'm honestly so impressed. The picture is crisp, and the low input lag makes gaming feel really smooth. Plus, having all the Samsung TV options built-in is such a nice bonus for when I just want to relax and watch a show. It's a great 'do-it-all' screen for the price!

The picture is great. I have been learning about all the Streaming apps and Samsung content. I wanted the tv to come on to may cable service. I had trouble finding how so called customer service. The Tech walked me through it. Now the only problem I had was fixed. I am still learning. GREAT SO FAR

The TV is a great value for the price! It was easy to setup and connect and has a sharp and bright picture. The downside is the remote control which is poor, in my opinion. I ended up getting a Gvirture BN59-01315A remote control for under $10.00 and it pairs perfectly with the TV. Much easier to use than the original!

The picture's great, but the OS is terrible. I understand that more people stream than ever, but launching into a main screen with the option to bring in cable or home theater via HDMI1/eARC or direct cable input buried several menus down is annoying for those who understand electronics and confusing for those who don't. Also, the eARC interaction between the Samsung TV and the Denon home theater receiver via eARC is balky and unreliable.

The headline of the posting on Amazon says "Alexa built-in". From that, any reasonable person would derive that they are receiving a TV with voice command. It does not. I did a keyword search on the 292 page users manual that I had to download from Samsung's site and the word Alexa isn't found .. a visual scan gave the same result. We upgraded to TV from another, perfectly good Samsung because that one didn't have voice command .. now we have another that doesn't. First of all, Samsung has a proprietary voice command system they call "Bixby" .. isn't that cute. To use "Bixby", you have to buy an upgrade remote with a mic that costs a full third of what the TV did. The not very helpful Samsung phone support person with poor English skills told me I could buy their expensive remote or send it back .. they couldn't care less. The TV looks good and has decent sound but it doesn't do what we bought if for and the use of the term "built-in" is clearly some semantics scooby doo to con you into believing you have an important feature that you don't. I absolutely hate when companies intentionally deceive me .. don't you? So three stars off for lying.

After 2 months of owning the TV, a random vertical green line appeared down the center with a horizontal black line running across. Working with Samsung was awful and took over 2 months after approval to get a replacement. Their exchange process is awful and takes a long time since they take your device and make you wait 2 week+ before you are able to get a replacement. I wish we had gone with a different brand.

Overall, this television offers good value for its price point. The color sharpness is quite impressive, providing a vibrant viewing experience. However, I did find that both the sound quality and the sharpness could be improved upon. Despite these minor drawbacks, it remains a worthwhile purchase for the features offered. I am generally satisfied with this acquisition.

Gone are the days of plugging in your set and turning on the power. When we purchased this, we didn't realize we invested in a computer. Agreeing to so many terms, the wait for software to load, etc is ridiculous. Far too much tech to these sets. When I turn on my TV, I don't want to wait for a computer to boot up. If I wanted a computer, I would have purchased one. I cannot find a "quick-start" opinion, which my previous set offered. Also accessing connected devices is cumbersome, as is the menuing. I prefer to have quick access to my local media than the overabundance and overwhelming streaming options. We only stream 2 sources. The viewing guide (Samsung TV) is clunky at best and limited. If manufacturers add a feature, a little more care and focus should be applied, and not a careless afterthought. Scrolling is problematic as each keypress is inconsistent. Intermittent skips of several channels are common and frustrating. The menu seems limited and confining. Features that should be user-defined are not. The other annoying procedure was removing the plastic film, which is far too sticky, from the screen. Apparently, cheap packing tape was used around the edges which did not remove efficiently, causing far more frustration. As a side note, mounting this set was not an easy undertaking. While the VESA pattern is consistent with my old set, the screw holes are 2x larger on the Samsung causing a potential trip to the hardware store. Fortunately, we decided on a workaround which would not have been necessary if screw sizes were standard. Might make sense to provide the proper mounting screws. Once we overcame the arduous setup, we were actually pleased with the product itself. The picture is a vast improvement over our last set. Much brighter, richer colors. It also recognizes my digital content on SSDs. In some instances, standard def video looks upgraded. Video is easy on the eyes and pleasurable to watch. Our Sci-fi productions are truly impressive on this set. Even older productions, classic television shows seem improved. Streaming channels, if the viewer can ignore the poor timing of ads, is also surprisingly crisp and smooth. Samsung TV provides a variety of channels streaming, e.g., History and Discovery channel programming provided for "free." Bottom line: Once setup is complete, this is a decent set. Picture and sound quality are impressive. Menu system is cumbersome yet manageable. The remote control is small and limited functionality. Not easy to handle with big hands. Most buttons are multi-function which is confusing. I recommend a larger Universal Remote. For the price point, however, it is a good purchase.

Loving it so far. More than anything else, I love how snappy it is compared to my LG tv. I watch a lot of YouTube so it allows me to quickly start a video on my phone and end it on the tv.

Tv looks great and easy to use. Its everything i could expect for the price. Only complaint is i can not hook up my samsung soundbar to it trough earc and use all of my apps for sound. But connecting through bluetooth works just fine.
