Fast, fast, fast USB flash drive.

Fast, fast fast! I tried a generic USB 3 with fast advertised write speeds, but terrible real world performance. Running tests between the two, this Sandisk flash drive was 36X faster! And that's with writing large multi-GB files (typically slower) , yet it was able to sustain the high rate of 290 MB/Sec. Note that I'm talking about WRITE speeds here, not just READ speeds which are typically where flash drives to a lot better.

A great bargain

I didn't know that flash drives could be found in the SSD format and at the sales price, who could pass it up. 128GB will hold a lot of photos when traveling with less chance of losing them, I hope. The solid state drive format is faster than the old standard memory flash drives.

Best USB drive available

Probably the fastest USB drive available. The previous 3.0 version was pretty fast, and this one is faster even when using USB 3.0 not 3.1. Routinely transfers files of about 3Gb in about 5 seconds or so.

Fast and Steady

I've had flash drives, with fast specs, that would stop and go, stop and go, thus in general failing to meet their claimed speed. So far this one is zippy all the way. It also offers excellent storage capacity for the price.

SanDisk Extreme PRO 256GB 3.1 Flash Drive

This is an excellent flash drive. I use only SanDisk now. One thing I should mention, If you are using large files like video, It is best to format the disk in NTFS rather than the set exFAT. This will give you the maximum capacity.
