This is as good as all the positive reviews say it is. But I had a strange situation with the one I bought. All worked well the first two times I used it via USB. The third time the mic would not turn on. Eventually i discovered that the USB cable had stopped working. I knew because I had an old similar cable and the mic turned on immediately. I took it back to Adorama asking for a new cable. That baffled them. One part of the store could not tell another part of the store what to do. Ultimately a boss said "just give him a new mic." Silly. But that's what they did.

I ordered two of the Samson Q2U microphones. One worked perfectly from the first moment of use. The other has not worked at all. It turns on, and with difficulty I can get the computer to recognize it, but it will not record at all. I have tried it with both a PC and a Mac to make sure the problem wasn’t with my computer, but I’ve had the same issues no matter what. I’ve spent months reading different message boards and trying different things, hoping that this was resolvable but nothing works... seems to be a 50/50 chance whether the mic you receive will work.

Good quality mic, but after a few uses the monitoring functionality only outputs to the left side of the headphones. So audio passthrough is not great just coming from the one channel .

Great Microphone, would recommend for anyone wanting great and simple sound quality. Although I have not used the XLR feature yet, I plan to in the future as I know it is higher quality from reviews I've seen online. The mute switch is really accessable, you can use the aux below to listen to music and talk in it (even listen to your voice to see whether or not it's working). You can fit all XLR, USB, and Aux into the mic and will use all of them correctly. The best part is the reduction of background noise. As someone who uses fans frequently, it's a breather to know while recording or talking on my mic, no one can hear my fan or AC or anything.

Seemingly Great microphone that I'm learning how to stream with. I don't know much about audio so I can't tell you there but this is the one a youtuber told me to get instead of a condenser. I chose this one because I prefer to not have to be too loud but I don't want it to pick up my environment.

Used it for a week. Overall I'm not too impressed with the quality for $69. I currently use it via a USB connection and it's not as clear as those who use it via XLR.

Wanted to try streaming with a Dynamic Microphone instead of my Blue Yeti and decided to try this one out. It works well both with XLR and USB and I've gotten positive feedback that my sound quality has improved. The build quality is good and I feel like it's picking up less background noises. Retiring my Blue Yeti in favor of this (I'll update this review if I run into any problem).
