Shopper : is the aperture ring de-clicked?
DEAN S : I got my new 35 f1.4 for Sony a7r4 and the lens mount is super snug, and doesn’t click all the way. At first I thought it was the around mount but it’s correct, any help with this or is it a return?

Beautiful Looking, but Very Hard to Focus

The build is solid and really beautiful, but the depth of field is so narrow when open that it is almost impossible to get an in focus shot. It feels like 7artisans is making good looking equipment, but I don't think the glass/technology is there yet.

I really enjoy this lens. Its by no means perfect but for the price it is absolutely lovely and has a lot of character.

A comfortable wide-angle with a fast design, the Sony E-mount 7artisans 35mm f/1.4 is a versatile prime well-suited for a variety of shooting applications. Its bright f/1.4 maximum aperture suits working in low-light conditions and also offers increased control over depth of field for isolating subjects and producing selective focus effects. Its manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 1.3' away and an 11-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.
