Fun and full of character. Soft for the most but at the price point no one can complain.

Second purchase of this lens. Love the color. Really great lens... not good in cold weather though. But it’s great if you can take your time in mild weather.

Listing neglects to say this is Manual Aperture. Nothing seems to come into sharp focus. Had to return.

Above average glass quality. All other functions work beautifully. The lens is compact and light. When closed down to f8, it producessharp pictures with no visible fallout at corners. Love it! Go for it, especially, if your budget does not let you spend $ fora so called "top quality" lens.

I was looking forward to using this lens, for its speed, light weight and compact form factor. Unfortunately, it's not really a good deal, even at its modest price point. 1) It's listed as "Manual Focus" - but it's actually Manual Aperture and Focus. So you lose control from the Aperture dial on the camera. 2) It's not very sharp, at any aperture. The resolution is just not up to the standards of Fuji lenses. 3) The Bokeh is nice, but it seems like everything is being defused into it... 4) The control rings are small and difficult to grab when you need them. This disapointment has taught me a lesson: Stick to real Fujinon lenses.

Before you capture your next portrait, consider the Photoelectric 50mm f/1.8 Lens, a prime choice for Micro Four Thirds cameras. This lens, when paired with an APS-C camera, transforms into the equivalent of an 80mm focal length on a full-frame camera, providing you with that quintessential perspective for natural-looking facial close-ups, as well as half-body and full-body portraits.
The 50mm focal length is revered among photographers for its versatility and the natural look it imparts in images, closely mirroring the perspective of the human eye. This makes it an indispensable tool for portrait photographers who aim to capture their subjects with clarity and authenticity.
With its wide and fast f/1.8 aperture, this lens excels in low-light conditions, allowing more light to hit the sensor and enabling you to keep shooting even as the sun sets. The large aperture also affords you the creative freedom to produce images with a shallow depth of field, isolating your subject crisply against a soft, dreamy, and charming background that truly makes your portraits stand out.
The Photoelectric 50mm f/1.8 lens is designed with precision optics to deliver sharp, high-resolution images with minimal distortion. Its robust build quality ensures durability, while the smooth focus ring allows for precise control over your focus point, ensuring that every portrait you take is captured with the utmost detail and sharpness.
