Saramonic SR-MSM500 Dual Adjustable Stereo Bar Microphone Mount for X-Y & ORTF Recording

The Saramonic SR-MSM500 is a full-featured stereo bar that enables you to mount 2 microphones up to 7.9" (20cm) apart and provides clearly printed markers for distances and angles, as well as ORTF and X-Y positioning on both the front and back of the unit. Included spacers allow you to easily stack microphones at varying heights to execute different stereo techniques. This is an indispensable tool for creating accurate and dramatic recordings of live performances, choirs, ensembles, orchestras, acoustic instruments and more. It's also essential for capturing environmental stereo soundscapes, ambiance and sound effects for video and film production.

The two microphone mounting points on the SR-MSM500 feature standard 3/8" male threads and nicely-sized dials on the underside of the unit enable you to easily fasten and unfasten microphones, as well as slide them into the desired position. The bottom center of the bar features a standard 5/8" female thread for mounting to microphone stands, a 3/8" to 5/8" thread adapter and a camera shoe-mount with 1/4" 20 thread is included to give you near limitless mounting options. Also, included are 2 microphone clips for cylindrical mic sized between 0.74 - 0.86" (19mm-25mm) in diameter, such as small diaphragm pencil microphones. The SR-MSM500 is compact and lightweight, yet sturdy enough to confidently hold pairs of large diaphragm condenser microphones.

When you remove a spacer to position a pair of microphones in the X-Y placement where one microphone is higher than the other, instead of setting the unused spacer aside and potentially misplacing it, the SR-MSM500 was designed to allow you to clip it back into the underside of the bar so all of the parts remain together.
