It's lightly smaller than my 36in godox octobox, which is a bit strange, but other than that pretty okay.

Pretty good

Much softer light than my regular umbrellas.  Solid construction, bit tricky to get my flash Godox TT600 to trigger while it's completely covered so had to finagle it a bit.  The string adjusters made it easy to fit.  Can't beat the price for this size.

Very compact and easy to pack. Setup is quick and simple.  Excellent light quality.  Haven?t owned long enough to determine durability, but seems well constructed.

Everything it's suppose to be

This is a great modifier, it is quick and easy to setup and take down, and it gives a nice soft light. It’s my go to modifier for indoor and outdoor portraits. You have to watch it outdoors in the wind but that’s true of any modifier of this size outdoors. If you are looking for your first modifier or just want to add to your kit, this would be an excellent choice. It is the biggest, softest light you can get for the price.

Gread modifier

This is the first time I used an umbrella, and I was really impressed by the difference it made to my portraits even with a single speedlight setup. This umbrella seems to be a favorite, and I might get one more.

Love it!

Works fine for it's task, supplying a broad diffused light. You need to set your flash on minimum zoom and adding a on flash diffuser will also increase the quantity and quality of the light produced.

5 stars for the price, quality of light and quality of the umbrella. I have used it for 3 shoots now and I am pleased with the soft light it produces. 

Pretty Good

Everything seems fine with this umbrella, but the photo is misleading. The extra material around the drawstring looks in the photo to be pretty long. When I opened it, however, the material was probably only an inch and a half at best. It was pretty short. The drawstring does not fully close the material even without any light source placed in it whatsoever. I'm sure this would work really well with strobes, though.

Not great with speedlights... and not as pictured.

I have been using this style umbrella soft box for portraits for years.  In the studio, with strobes, I use Westcott Halo Light Modifiers.  I wanted something smaller for portable use with speed lights.  This works great, especially if you put a diffuser on the flash. That spreads the light out evenly.

Great small soft box for portable flash

I would not suggest you purchase these soft box umbrellas if you are a location shooter. I bought three of them and the first time I opened up the umbrella on a location shoot, it BROKE.    I assume the rest of them will do the same thing eventually. Light weight and weak!!!!! I thought because it was a Savage product it would be better quality but I was sure WRONG!

Flimsy and breaks easily

So far I've done little shoots and not many but can't say that the soft cover overheats while working with the modeling bulbs on and the overall results of the softeness of the skin w/o missing detail is just right. It's a great light accesorie to create very nice portraits

Does what is made for

I was a little worried about the build quality and fitment as I was using these in conjunction with studio lighting and not a speedlite but I couldn't be happier with my purchase. These will literally fit anything you throw at it and the quality of this one piece umbrella is something you expect to see when you are shopping in the hundred dollar range.
