Worst Bracket I ever Owned

Here are the problems I encountered: 1. It is not at all compact for a folding bracket. The baseplate is HUGE 2.5 inches wide. The rest of the bracket only 1.5 inches wide. So it DOES NOT fit nicely in a camera bag. 2. The bar that holds the flash only locks in one position (the portrait orientation). Thus, the flash head is prone to flopping around. In a working environment this very annoying and somewhat embarrassing at a wedding. Not a good design at all. 3. The mechanism that you push to release the lock HURTS! It is a tiny piece of metal that actually hurts your finger to push it in. The tighter you have the tension screw - the harder it is to push in. After about 10 - 12 uses, my finger hurt very badly!! 4. The hand grip is a thin piece of some sort of rubber that simply wraps around the 'L' shape contour of the bar. It is not comfortable at all and you feel the shape of the underlying bar. Very uncomfortable in any extended shooting situation. Overall, this bracket is AWFUL - get something else. My feeling are that if you are in the market for a 'folding' flash bracket, you want one that conveniently packs away. Or you would have got a full size bracket to begin with. This is not the answer. The bracket seems like it only has half of the features it should have to be effective (locks in only one position?????) And the huge camera baseplate seems out of place on this bracket. I have full size brackets that have smaller plates. Do yourself a favor and get a different one.

Look's good, BUT

It's great for preventing red-eye, but sometimes when you set the set-up down, the handle unlocks and falls onto the camera causing a very uncomfortable pinch.

Not bad

If the flash arm only locked in both positions I would love it.

A great bracket.

I like the locking feature when it is flipped. I also like the fact that the base is so wide. The folding feature is also a great feature.

Great buy-Stroboframe Pro-Bracket

Most important, but not emphasized, is the adjustable height shaft to accommodate camera plus a motor drive or battery compartment.
