Works great when it works.

I do not have extensive experience with this brand, but I've just inherited an AV setup which uses two sets of ShinyBow HDMI Tx/Rx equipment for about a 30-yard HD-over-Ethernet run, as well as a ShinyBow 4x4 HDMI Matrix Switcher. The Pro: - This module is plug-and-play easy. Insert the Ethernet terminator, see the LINK light come on and you know you're good to go (assuming the Tx station is on and plugged in). - No extensive pairing, MAC addressing, or IP configuration required - Optional IR accessories (that I didn't use but looked like they could be handy) - Small with a durable-feeling construction, suitable for tucking behind a wall-mounted TV unit without the need for additional racking beyond a zip tie or two. The Con: - I ordered mine as a replacement for the last one. Admittedly, the last one sat unused for about 8 months due to COVID-related closures, but the other one of the pair still worked, is all I'm saying. - Want to do advanced troubleshooting on your unit? Good luck, there's pretty much no way to do that.

About Shinybow SB-6335R

The SB-6335R HDBaseT receiver can receive HDMI, IR in/out, IR remote in/out and RS-232 I/O signals from a HDBaseT Transmitter via a single category cable for long distances up to 328 feet (100M) maximum. SB-6335R uses a single category LAN CAT6, CAT6a or CAT7 (UTP or FTP) cable with RJ-45 8P8C connectors and supports the 568a or 568b color specification table. This HDBaseT receiver provides higher full HD HDMI resolutions of 480i/p, 720p,1080i/p and 4K2K quality that is identical to the source and to the HD destination display. Receives HDMI digital video, digital multi-channel audio signals, IR in/out and RS-232 series interface signals via a single category cable from the HDBaseT Transmitter.
