The Sachtler 18 SB Carbon Fiber Hot-Pod System is suitable for professionals seeking tripod systems that enable quick setup. Included in the system is the Video 18 SB fluid head, the single stage Hot Pod CF 14 tripod, 1x Telescopic Pan Bar, the Cover 100 II hard case and the Quick Release / Wedge Plate. You can use the system for payloads up to 44.1 lb (20kg) and achieve a maximum height of 67.9" (172.46cm) (without fluid head).

The Video 18 SB Fluid Head incorporates a 7-level horizontal/vertical drag that eliminates jerks and vibrations. Sudden tips in camera weight and angle are avoided via the 5-step counterbalance feature and integrated torsion springs. A Touch & Go system based quick release lever and an automatic locking system eliminates the need for screw-based camera fitting and release. Accidental release of the camera latch is prevented via a safety lock lever.

Included with the Hot-Pod system is the 1-stage Hot Pod CF 14 tripod that integrates a central locking system that releases the tripod legs at the touch of a button. A pneumatic column allows the tripod to lift loads of up to 44 lb (19.9kg) to lens heights of over 6.6' (2m). Portability of the tripod is enhanced via a handle located at the center of gravity that allows you to carry the tripod to any location, or via the supplied shoulder strap.

You are also provided with an integrated illuminated bubble for horizontal leveling. A 4" (100mm) bowl base allows for the fluid head attachment. The Hot-Pod system is manufactured from carbon fiber with a single extension design. Incorporated into the Hot-Pod is a rotary clamping system and vibration-less horizontal/vertical brakes that allow instant break-in-motion in fast-paced shooting conditions.

The Carbon Fiber Hot-Pod System also includes a 1x Telescopic Pan Bar and the Quick Release / Wedge Plate. You can store the system in the cover 100 II hard case that is supplied with the system.
