Shotgun Microphone CMIT 5 U
The CMIT 5 is SCHOEPS' shotgun microphone which has set a new standard for shotgun microphones since its release. The CMIT 5's directionality increases smoothly with higher frequencies, which results in a very balanced sonic character. In addition to this, the microphone's sound level decreases softly yet steadily for off-axis sounds, allowing these to be recorded neutrally as well as reducing the effects of movement during boom operation. The CMIT 5 also has a much stronger directionality than one might expect from a microphone of its length. If required, the CMIT 5 can also be used for music recordings, for example opera recordings.
unusually low coloration of off-axis sound
suitable for music recording as well as dialogue
rotationally symmetrical polar pattern
even greater immunity to wind noise than a SCHOEPS supercardoid
very lightweight, robust all-metal housing
12cm Super-Softie (19/22) Windshield
The Super-Softie with their new material 3D-Tex combines superb wind noise reduction with excellent acoustic transparency.
Excellent noise reduction and weather durability
The Super-Softie retains the excellent wind noise reduction of a conventional cavity windshield but allies it to a novel aerodynamic shape and surface structure and to a new material - 3D-Tex - which combines excellent acoustic transparency with superb attenuation of wind noise. It has no rigid internal structure, so causes virtually no polar pattern distortion and is extremely robust in challenging environments such as news-gathering. If it becomes rain-soaked it can be squeezed out and shaken dry very quickly; if it becomes coated with dust it can be rinsed quickly without affecting its performance. The shape & structure of the Super Softie allow it to reduce wind noise at extreme LF and infrasonic frequencies - where the greatest wind energy lies - more efficiently than previous designs.
Slip-on Windshield with the new 3D-Tex material and open-cell foam suitable for or shotgun microphones, with slots no further than 12cm from the front of the mic and a diameter of 19-22mm.
Main Benefits
Novel shape and 3D-Tex give greatly improved wind noise reduction compared to conventional "soft" windshields
A true cavity design, with superb performance at extreme low frequencies (where wind noise is worst)
A rough-service windshield, robust enough for the most challenging news-gathering situations
High immunity to rain-soaking and maintains excellent acoustic transparency in almost all situations
InVision INV 7HG MKIII
Part of the larger InVision range of noise-reducing microphone shock-mounts, Rycote's InVision Broadcast, are designed for discreet, low-profile on-camera use in broadcast studio environments where windshielding is not required. The InVision Broadcast mounts feature Rycote's latest Lyre suspension systems to offer broadcast professionals the cleanest possible sound, free from unwanted cable or stand-borne noise. They may be used with microphones mounted on desks, stands or boom poles or suspended mics.
Suitable for Microphones from 19 to 34mm in diameter. Ideal for front-heavy microphones or microphones used with a Softie or Baby Ballgag windshield.
Benefits
Virtually indestructible
Offers much improved isolation from camera noise compared to other on-camera microphone mounts
No elasticated parts - never sags or needs rethreading
